opening apostrophe In the past we have recruited through advertisements in the Scotsman and through a range of recruitment agencies in Edinburgh. The quality and range of candidates from GfG was as high as either of these methods, and the service provided by Lorna was better than that offered by recruitment agencies. Recruiting through GfG was a very positive experience for the company and we will certainly use its services again in the future. closing apostrophe

Graduate Career Mangement Programme

NEW - Graduates for Growth are introducing a Career Management Programme for Graduates.

12 Step Graduate Career Management Programme

Through a 12 step process, these action orientated workshops are specifically designed to maximise your potential. We give you tools to facilitate self understanding of your individual strengths and talents so you will realise future career direction, build career goals and action plans and maximise potential at work.

Step 1/ The programme starts by taking an objective online battery. This Highlands Ability Battery is an online tool that is completed at least a week before the workshop. Find out more at www.highlandsco.com

Step 2/ You will receive a detailed 30 page report about your abilities and how these relate to different careers and a two hour telephone feedback with a qualified career psychologist.

Step 3/ You will be given some pre course work to do for the workshop.

Step 4/ At the workshop, we will begin by exploring the how you feel about your school, university and job experience you have had so far to start to find your likes and dislikes.

Step 5/ We will then look at your interests, which play an important role in adding passion to your career.

Step 6/ By examining your work values, we will find out what is important to you at work. For example, this may include making money or having a good work/life balance.

Step 7/ Personal style and personality have a bearing on the type of roles and environments we best work in, so that are will be covered also.

Step 8/ We shall also look at the skills you have build up through your time at school, university and work experience.

Step 9/ Once we have accumulated this information, we will integrate what we have found to find patterns and come up with career choices and ideas.

Step 10/ We will then come up with action plans as to how we can develop these ideas and start to take action towards a suitable career.

Step 11/ You will be provided with information as to how to find further information on different careers, career websites and job websites.

Step 12/ You will also be provided with information as to how best to write a CV and how best to approach interviews.
