Girl Smiling
opening apostrophe All my days are different and require me to utilise a variety of skills. One of the major benefits of my job is that I love the type of business I am now in and the diversity of my role. The job is very hands on and involves working with employees across all areas of the business. I came across the position purely by chance while browsing the website and initially doubted my ability to fulfil such a role. Thankfully, Miriam from GFG persuaded me to attend an interview and Williamsons decided to employ me. Every day presents a fresh challenge and makes going to work a pleasure. closing apostrophe

A few words of advice...

We understand that looking for a job after leaving university is a trying time.  You wonder sometimes if it has all been worth it!  You’ve spent years studying, you’ve worked hard and graduated successfully, full of enthusiasm and ready to start your career and the next stage of life.  But alas, now all your days consist of trawling through job pages, filling in applications and registering with online recruitment agencies.  We realise this begins to take its toll after a while.  However, remember to make each application count.  Each time you make a call to GfG or a potential employer, be polite, enthusiastic and respectful.  It can be hard keeping upbeat all the time, but remember, that is what employers want.  If you are making contact via an online contact form, request politely for information.  You never know who the request will be forwarded to - potentially the person recruiting for the position.  Also, always address your letters correctly.  Find out the name (and the pronunciation if unfamiliar) of the Project Manager so that you can address and correspond courteously.  Dress appropriately for your interviews - that doesn’t mean you have to loose your individual style, but you must be clean and smart.
